Liverpool John Lennon Airport - Facilities
CHECK-IN
Check-in, ticket sales and reservation desks for all scheduled
and charter services are all centrally located on the main concourse.
Flight information is displayed throughout the terminal building
on monitors.
AIRPORT SHOPS
Situated on the main concourse, "WH Smiths"
is open daily for the sale of newspapers, magazines, books, cigarettes,
confectionery, snacks, gifts and pharmacy items. Alpha Retail
operate "Books Plus" from within the Departure Lounge.
"Gina" is situated on the first floor of the terminal
and is open daily for the sale of gifts, lingerie and accessories.
REFRESHMENTS
The Airport 'Viscount' bar and 'Air Fayre' restaurant
are operated by Alpha Catering Services Limited and are situated
on the first floor of the terminal, offering a wide variety of
snacks, drinks and hot meals. Bar facilities are also available
on the ground floor of the departure lounge.
Delice de France is situated on the first floor
of the terminal and offers a wide range of freshly filled baguettes,
hot savouries, pastries and hot and cold beverages.
BUREAU DE CHANGE
Located on the main concourse, the Bureau de Change facility
is operated by Thomas Cook. The bureau has a wide range of foreign
currencies instantly available over the counter and supplies travellers
cheques in 12 different currencies including sterling. Thomas
Cook prides itself on offering its customers that little bit extra.
For example, when you order your currency, you will receive a
free currency converter and a Money Wise guide giving useful hints
and tips about the country you are visiting. The guide tells you
lots of things, including where to change your money, how to telephone
home and how best to get around on public transport. It even gives
you a few useful foreign phrases to help make overseas purchases
simpler. The bureau also offers customers a variety of ways to
send money abroad, including MONEYGRAM, the fastest way to send
money person-to-person around the world.
TRAVEL AGENCY
The Airport travel agency is situated near the arrivals
hall and is operated by Travelworld. Travelworld is the UK's largest
independent travel agency, and they recently won the travel agents
achievement award, which is awarded by tour operators for best
overall achievement. Travelworld can assist you with all your
travel and holiday needs. These include UK short breaks, holiday
centres, flights, package holidays, coach travel, car hire, car
parking, airport hotels and foreign currency amongst others.
Travelworld is open 7 days a week at the following
times:- MON-SAT 08:00 - 20:00 SUN 10.00-16.00
PARENT AND BABY ROOMS
Passengers with young children may use the parent and
baby rooms situated in the departure lounge and near the arrivals
waiting area, where feeding and changing facilities are available.
TELEPHONES
Telephones are located throughout the terminal building.
A low-level telephone is also located adjacent to Travelworld
for passengers with special needs.
PHOTO-BOOTH
The photo-booth produces a strip of four passport size
colour photographs and is situated next to the arrivals waiting
area.
PEOPLE WITH SPECIAL NEEDS
Liverpool Airport welcomes passengers with special needs. Liverpool
Airport endeavours to ensure the facilities provided make your
visit to the Airport as comfortable as possible. Please do not
hesitate to ask if you require assistance or advice.
AMBULIFT
Liverpool Airport has its own Ambulift to automatically
lift passengers and wheelchairs up to the aircraft door at sill
height, for smooth and efficient boarding / disembarking with
a minimum of passenger inconvenience.
WHEELCHAIRS
Wheelchairs are available, free of charge, at all times,
and should be requested when booking your flight. If you require
a wheelchair when in the terminal, please do not hesitate to ask
a member of Liverpool Airport's Customer Services' staff.

An information booklet for air travelers with special

CAR PARKING
A pick-up and set-down area is available outside the
terminal entrance. Parking spaces for passengers with special
needs are reserved at the front of the Airport car park.
TERMINAL FACILITIES
The majority of facilities are based on the ground floor
of the terminal building. The Airport restaurant, bar and lounge
area on the first floor are accessible by lift, which is situated
opposite the information desk. An Induction Loop System has recently
been installed to facilitate passengers with hearing difficulties.
TOILETS
Toilets for passengers with special needs are available
on both the ground floor and first floor, accessible by lift to
the left of the Information Desk. Access to similar toilets is
also available in the departure and arrival areas.
