About Sabadell
Sabadell is one of the biggest cities in the Catalonia/Comarques|comarca
of Vallès Occidental in Catalonia. It is in the south of
the comarca, on the Ripoll river, 20km north-west of Barcelona.
Sabadell is 190 metres above sea level. It is the
capital of the Catalonia/Comarques|comarca, sharing this title
with the city of Terrassa. Sabadell is basically a commercial
and industrial city, home to 183,727 people as of 2000, and it
is 37.6 sqr km.
About Sabadell Airport
Sabadell Airport handles General Aviation traffic
and VFR flights. Seventy per cent of the airport's activity is
dedicated to the classes run by the four aeroplane and helicopter
pilot schools. The other thirty per cent is divided between publicity
flights, photography and air taxis, private flights and government
flights.
As well as schools offering courses for prospective airline pilots,
there are two flight attendant schools which offer courses leading
to the Passenger Cabin Crew.
During 2005, Sabadell managed 43,814 aircraft movements.
