About Albacete Airport
In June 2003 Aena opened the Provisional Passenger Area with
the approval of the Air Force General Staff. These provisional
actions consisted of a provisional passenger terminal, refurbishing
of the firefighting building, adaptation of the aircraft stand
on the Maestranza apron, and a garage for firefighting vehicle
parking.
Currently, Aena has several actions underway to equip Los Llanos
air station (Albacete) with appropriate civil facilities to open
it to civil traffic. The aim is to equip the Albacete airport
with modern facilities and infrastructures to allow it to serve
the air traffic demand with levels of safety and quality.
During 2004, 15,055 passenger used its facilities and 1,309
flight operations were managed. In 2005, the airport recorded
16,006 passengers and 1,184 flight operations.
