Parma Airport's Goal

To grow and establish Parma Airport as a regional airport offering efficiency and good service in order to give users:

The renovation of the "Giuseppe Verdi" airport in Parma began in 1980 thanks to the initiative of Aeroclub "Gaspare Bolla" and an agreement among Parma public corporations, some economic associations, the most important local firms and a few banks. Three years later the management of the terminal went to SO.GE.A.P. spa, a company born from the cohesion of economic, political and social forces, an expression of the area's situation; Parma public corporations, a few banks and over 130 private firms invested and believed in the positive effect the airport would have on the local economic situation: the first example in Italy of a handling company whose private shareholders have the double role of investors and clients. For this reason the "Giuseppe Verdi" airport is today the most authentic expression of the efficiency and competitiveness that made its "catchment area" one of the richest in Europe. The official opening of the airport, on 5th May 1991, represented the State's official acknowledgement of the good work of previous years.

How to Get to Parma Airport

Parma Airport "G.Verdi" is less than 3 km away from Parma by motorway A1-Autostrada del Sole, to which it is linked by a bypass. It is also linked to the railway station, the major hotels of Parma and downtown by the Aerobus, a confortable bus service that offers a run for each departure or arrival flight.
