Car Parking
New! Valet parking for Munich Airport passengers!
Effective immediately, Munich Airport is offering its passengers the
service enjoyed for years by guests at the world's exclusive hotels:
Valet Parking No longer do you have to park your car yourself. Munich
Airport staff are at the ready to take this task off your hands. That
means no more searching for a parking space. They will park your car
in the parking zone you specify. At present Munich Airport can offer
you this service Monday to Friday from 6 a.m. till 10 p.m.
Here's how it works:
- Leave your vehicle in one of the barriered stopping zones in front
of Arrival Areas
A or B.
- Hand in the card you picked up on the way into the stopping zone
along with your car keys at one of the Infodesks in departure area
A or B.
- You then fill out a form with your car registration and ownership
information and indicate your desired parking zone.
Trains
There is a shuttle service, which operates every 10 minutes to nearby
train stations.

Can I stay in the airport overnight if my flight
departs early the next morning?
Yes, provided you hold a valid ticket.
Is smoking generally forbidden at the airport?
Munich Airport is a non smoking zone. On then other hand you will find
smoking areas as well in the waiting rooms as in the restaurants,too.
These areas are clearly marked by smoking signs.
Where can I deposit my luggage?
The airport's left luggage facility is located in the main concourse.
Munich Airport recommend that you use car park P 9.
Can I use credit cards as a means of payment at Munich Airport?
The stores at Munich Airport accept major credit cards. The airport's
snack bars, however, only accept cash.
How long does it take to travel into Munich by car, bus or transit railway?
The trip by transit rail to Marienplatz in the center of Munich takes
37 minutes. The bus or taxi ride to Munich's central station (Hauptbahnhof)
takes 45 minutes.
Can I buy duty free goods when I arrive in Munich?
No. Only passengers departing from Munich on, or transferring to, international
flights may purchase items from Munich Airport's duty free shop.
Can I charge up the battery in my mobile phone or laptop at the
airport?
Yes. Charge points for electronic equipment are located in the photographic
goods store in the main concourse.
May I bring my dog to the airport?
Yes, but you must keep it on a leash at all times
Can I get innoculated at the airport?
Yes. The airport has an excellently equipped medical center located
on level 03 in section E of the terminal. The center is open 24 hours
a day
Can I leave a message for someone at the airport?
Yes. There is an alphabetically sorted message box at the meeting point
in the main concourse.
