Tajikistan Airlines - History and Fleet
The birthday of Tajikistan Civil Aviation was on September 3, 1924. Just that day the pilots PT. Komarov and Rashidbek Akhriev operated their first flight on the route Bukhara-Dushanbe by the aircraft YU-13.

One of the Most Aviation Republics of the USSR
During the years of Soviet Power the aviation developed very quickly, aircraft fleet renewed. Mountainous aerodromes of Tajikistan became testing ones for new aircraft and one of the most aviation republics of the USSR. In 1992 after dissolution of the USSR and collapse of the Ministry of Civil Aviation, new Independent State Tajikistan and State Aircompany of the Republic of Tajikistan “Tajikistan Airlines” were formed.

Operating in Good Rhythm Increasing Passenger and Cargo
Tajikistan Airlines, in spite of all political and economic calamities, could stand hard times after collapse of the Soviet Union without big losses and non-suspending its activity. At present the Aircompany is operating in good rhythm increasing passenger and cargo transportation capacity. Their air transport carries about 300.000 people and hundreds tons of freight per year in average.
