Kam Air is the first private airline in Afghanistan. It started operation in 2003. Based on the Afghanistan’s new economic policies and privet investment low, Kam Air obtained its Privet Investment License (PIL) no. 4992 in 2003 and holding AOC Air Operator Certificate no.001 from Afghanistan Civil Aviation Department since August 2003. Kam Air is 100 % owned by single owner, Mr. Z. M. Kamgar, the reputed Afghan businessman from the northern city of Mazare Sharif and has no other partner or political supporters or involvements.

The idea and mission of establishing Kam Air, is to provide safe and reliable air transport for Passenger and Cargo operations that can satisfy the needs of Afghan and other nations traveling to/from and within Afghanistan. The operation base of Kam Air is Kabul, the capital city of Afghanistan.
