Iberia Airlines - Travelling more comfortably
Modern aeroplanes are well known for being extremely safe and
comfortable. But following a series of recommendations can render
all flights more salutary, and those that last over three hours
in particular.
Pressure changes
It is advised to avoid heavy meals or flatulent food as of the
day before the flight. Their onboard menus are designed to avoid
using ingredients that may cause discomfort.
Humidity
The relative humidity in the cabin is lower than usual and may
cause slight dehydration. Try to avoid coffee and alcohol as of
the day before departure. You may find it beneficial to increase
your liquid intake during the flight.
Space and movement
The space available and possibility of movement are limited. Iberia
recommend wearing loose-fitting clothing and stowing hand luggage
in a position where it will not hinder free leg movement.
Iberia Airlines - Gastronomy
The quality that you deserve
Conceived especially for each case, the finest range of food
is available to their passengers throughout flights, with a view
to providing an optimal level of quality and service.
European Flights (short and medium haul)
Iberia are enhancing their service by updating their onboard menu
to offer their Economy Class passengers an a la carte choice of
food from their "Tú Menú". The menu has
been put together in line with current tendencies in healthy,
fresh and natural onboard catering, and offers good value for
money.
This service "Tu Menú" is offered on all domestic,
European and North Africa services except, due to their duration,
flights to Athens, Istanbul, Tel Aviv, Cairo, Dakar, Malabo, Moscow
and Beirut.
In Business Class Iberia clients can enjoy recently prepared
dished made with fresh produce. They offer a balanced and healthy
diet, accompanied by a selection of fine wines of renowned prestige.
Special kosher food is still available and should be requested
when booking or 24 hours before the flight. The applicable fee
is payable onboard, prior to consumption.
Intercontinental flights
A new concept of onboard catering, different and exclusive to
Iberia, will ensure that their Business Plus passengers will enjoy
the quality and innovation of their new and varied menus; based
on fresh seasonal products; focusing on Spanish gastronomy, a
mix of tradition and new ideas. The china and table linens have
been designed to recreate the atmosphere of the best restaurants
exuding quality, modernity and comfort.
