Rome and Tenerife.
Flyglobespan is an owned subsidiary of The Globespan
Group Plc a company established in 1974.
Flyglobespan commenced its first flight in April 2002 and now
operates 10 aircraft to a wide range of destinations within Europe.
Main bases are located in Edinburgh and Glasgow and a new base
at London Stansted will commence operation in early November.
Flyglobespan’s aircraft fly very quietly, economically
and are environmentally friendly. They have a young fleet of modern
aircraft the youngest additions being the Boeing 737-800’s
which commenced service in April 2005.
flyglobespan was the first United Kingdom airline to install
winglets to the wings of its 737-800's enabling a faster rate
of climb and resulting in greater fuel efficiency.
New and nearly-new aircraft offer many advantages. Their technology
is always up to the latest standards and they use the quietest
and most economical engines. This enables Flyglobespan to save
operating costs and increase their competitiveness, as well as
making an effective contribution to environmental protection.
