Air Asia Fleet
Air Asia operates a single type of aircraft, the Boeing
737-300, this aircraft is regarded as the workhorse of the industry.
The 737 is the best selling commercial jet of all time, made popular
because of its efficiency and cost effectiveness. By building
up a uniform fleet, they are able to keep fares low, as costs
for spares and training are reduced.
Air Asia Safety
Of course they are safe. Saying otherwise is like claiming
the world is square. Air Asia is safe, with a planeful of humour
too; we'll have it no other way! Having a ball of a time on a
soaring plane does not mean compromising safety. Give them more
credit; AirAsia is a lot smarter. They realize that in keeping
you safe, they keep themselves safe.
In July 2002, AirAsia sealed a deal with ally GE Engine Services
on a business alliance valued over millions of dollars? For the
next five years, GE Engine Services is to maintain all AirAsia
aircraft engines, therefore, safe and reliable aircrafts for all
passengers. Volvo Aero was brought in the scene as the US$3 million
aircraft engine and frame parts leasing partner for AirAsia that
is worth millions of dollars. Volvo Aero has long stood by the
claim, "Best Partner in Aviation Services." They are
also fervent believers in "Do(ing) It Right The First Time."
They have certainly done it right with AirAsia!
2002 handed out another sweet treat for AirAsia passengers with
Airline Rotables Limited teaming up with AirAsia as the rotable
component management and support services for AirAsia fleet. Good
friendships do not come cheap. This affiliation is valued at over
US$7.5 million.
Air Asia - How's that for safety?
AirAsia keeps a keen eye on possible boo-boos, but
is very much a live wire on the move. AirAsia is stringent about
standards and procedures, they maintain a generous degree of humour.
AirAsia is your friendly air travel partner who has your interests
at heart, with a go at your funny side every now and then!
